
Babalawo Ifagbemi Awofolaji
Babalawo Ifagbemi Awofolaji is a 9th-generation Ifá priest whose spiritual journey began at a very young age. Trained under esteemed mentors, he underwent a rigorous traditional apprenticeship while also engaging in personal study, gaining deep knowledge of the Ifá corpus, ritual practice, and the ethical responsibilities of spiritual leadership.

About Baba
He pursued formal education at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic while continuing his intensive spiritual training, integrating academic discipline with ancestral wisdom. Over the years, he has received numerous titles of honor within the Babalawo community and has been recognized by both youth and elders in Abeokuta — particularly within the Gbagura community — for his cultural advocacy, mentorship, and spiritual service.
Now based in the United States, he continues his mission of sharing the teachings of Ifá and Yoruba spirituality with a global audience. His work bridges tradition and modernity, preserving sacred knowledge while making its wisdom accessible and relevant in contemporary life.
Firmly grounded in his faith in Ifá as a divine guide and source of destiny, Babalawo Ifagbemi remains committed to nurturing, mentoring, and guiding others in alignment with timeless spiritual and ethical principles.
